Apron, Bacon and Venus

from $1,000.00

The apron appears to have spread, forming a monotonous plain stretching to the horizon. It could be a comment on the current state of affairs.

This Venus was borrowed from Rubens’ ‘Venus Frigida’. She may be shivering, not from cold temperatures, but from a psychological coldness.

The scale-shifted bacon forms a contrasting juxtaposition between two states of being (of flesh)

Venus: soft, “alive”.

The bacon: crisp, “dead”.

A cloud at the horizon merges with an aircraft wing to create a boomerang form.... Something ominous may be coming back around.

The UFO/UAP seemed obligatory (they’re everywhere aren’t they?).

As for how these elements might relate to one another, I’d rather not say more about my own take. There are potential stories here, but it may be just as well to see it as an image with no past or future.
